← Tavik Owner Brief

Privacy policy

Last updated October 2, 2026. This policy covers the owner-only Tavik Owner Brief Google connection in its current local development form.

Google information accessed

With the account owner's consent, this connection requests Gmail read-only and Google Calendar read-only permissions. It currently reads up to 25 recent inbox messages per connected account: message identifiers, subject, sender, date, unread status, and a short snippet. It also reads names of selected calendars and a bounded set of upcoming events: event identifiers, titles, times, and locations. The connection does not need permission to send mail or modify calendars.

Purpose and use

The information is used to show the owner recent mail and upcoming events in a local dashboard. Literal wording cues may identify messages worth reviewing, but are labeled unverified. This connection does not turn a message into an authoritative task or decision and does not make changes to the Google account.

Processing, storage, and sharing

The Google reader runs on the owner's local system and retrieves this information from Google on demand. The current connection does not persist the retrieved messages or events in a Tavik database; it returns a bounded view to the owner's authenticated local browser session. OAuth credentials are stored separately per approved account in owner-private files on the local system and may be refreshed to maintain authorized access. They are not sent to the browser.

The current connection does not send Google-derived mail or calendar content to an external AI model provider, use it for advertising, sell it, or share it with another organization. Google receives the API requests needed to provide the authorized data. Future features that change these practices require this notice to be updated before use.

Use of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Access, revocation, and deletion

The owner can revoke Tavik Owner Brief's access in the Google Account's third-party connections settings. The owner can also remove the locally stored OAuth credential files. Revocation or removal stops future reads until consent is granted again. Data already displayed in an open browser session remains there until that session is closed or refreshed.

Security and scope

The development reader and dashboard listen on the local loopback interface and require owner authentication. This public website is informational only; it does not expose the local service or store Google account data. Other Tavik features and integrations are outside the scope of this particular Google connection and may require separate notices.
