Tavik Owner Brief is an owner-only connection that brings recent Gmail and upcoming Google Calendar information into a local personal dashboard. It is not a public sign-up service.
Why it asks for Google access
The current connection requests Gmail read-only and Google Calendar read-only access. It displays a bounded set of recent inbox messages and upcoming events, with their source account identified, so the owner can review them alongside other personal information.
It does not send or change email, create or edit calendar events, or make decisions on the owner's behalf through this connection. Its current mail wording cues are unverified prompts for human review, not conclusions that a message requires action.
Where it runs
The dashboard and Google reader currently run on the owner's local development system, not as a public Tavik service. This website explains the Google connection; it does not host the owner's inbox, calendars, or dashboard.
